Shantae “Belle” Flowers: Chante’ La Belle Epoque, LLC
A Fashion Designer who goes by the name “Belle Flowers.”
In 2010, Belle Flowers launched her own clothing line: A women’s luxury brand, Chante’ La Belle Époque, LLC, which in French means to “sing a new era.” Growing into an authentic designer branded as Belle Flowers Fashion Designer, she has created a lifestyle brand, which brings craftsmanship of great skill and detail through fabric manipulations, draping, tucking, pleats, and darts, including quality fabrications. These skills provide luxury and comfort, offer unique styles, and symbolize class and elegance. Belle Flowers strives to meet luxury with an experience giving women clothing that they can look and feel good in. The company specializes in custom tailoring but also offers women’s apparel from seasonal collections.
A self-taught seamstress, Belle Flowers has participated in many fashion events promoting her designs along the East Coast. In 2013, her love for fashion led her to attend the Art Institute of Washington’s Fashion Retail Program, which gave her branding ideas and prepared her to plan for her own retail boutique.
Belle Flowers was a Designer-in-Residence from 2016 to 2017 at Macy’s Metro Center, Washington, DC, for the DC Fashion Incubator, a program of the DC Fashion Foundation. She was sponsored by the Prince George’s Arts & Humanities Council that year. Shantae has continued with the 2017 to 2018 Designer-in-Residence Program with the DC Fashion Foundation. Belle Flowers was born in Washington, DC, and currently resides there.
